My 7 Pregnancy Must-Haves

Let’s face it, pregnancy is tough. Fact.

There were a lot of different things I used and did in order to help my mental and physical health while getting through pregnancy. And of course… how I was feeling physically!

These are a few different things that I used A LOT throughout my pregnancy and helped me make it through the long nine months.

1. Pregnancy Pillow

So easily my number one necessity!

Any normal night I’m sleeping half side/half belly. And as we know - sleeping on your back and belly is a no-can-do while pregnant.

This pregnancy pillow I ordered from Amazon was the best thing ever when it came to helping me sleep. It allowed me to sleep on my side, close to the way I slept partially on my stomach, without actually doing so. Not to mention it was extra cozy and cuddly!

2. Tums

I know this probably seems ridiculous to include in the list, but seriously. I could not have made it through pregnancy without Tums!!

I am not someone who usually gets heartburn on a day-to-day basis. So when I started getting heartburn during pregnancy, I was confused on what it even was at first.

With that being said, I made sure not to overuse Tums, but there were definitely times in the middle of the night where I woke up and had to take a couple to even attempt to get back to sleep!

3. Lulu Lemon - Biker Shorts and Leggings

Yes, of course, there are all sorts of maternity clothes out there to buy. And they are not cheap.

I did need to buy certain things in maternity, but I tried to buy things I could use after pregnancy too as much as possible.

Lulu Lemon is just absolutely amazing to wear while pregnant. It grows with you, it’s SO comfortable and even if they stretch out with you, they go right back after you wash them.

I was due in August. So going through a midwest summer for my third trimester of pregnancy, I was living in the Lulu Lemon biker shorts at that point. I never wanted to wear anything else. They were easily the comfiest pants I wore all pregnancy!

I ordered a size up in the pants and two sizes up in the shorts.

4. Maternity Underwear

I have to admit, I did not end up getting maternity underwear until my last couple months of pregnancy.

I was just getting by on a larger size… for some reason I thought that was better.

But it definitely was not. Once I got my first three pack of maternity underwear, it changed my life! They are made to fit under your bump and they fit SO much better. Plus they are way more comfortable.

Mine were actually gifted to me, so I’m just including a link a couple similar to the pack I had!

5. Maternity Shaper Panty

Since we are already in the “underwear” mindset, might as well mention that another necessity through my pregnancy was a pair of maternity shaper panties that I found on Amazon.

It’s so uncomfortable to just wear clothes in general while pregnant, honestly. So it was way easier for me to just wear dresses while I was pregnant, especially with my third trimester going straight through the midwest summer.

This pair I ordered off Amazon I was washing and wearing constantly under dresses. They worked well, stayed up and most of all they were comfortable!

6. Belly Moisturizers

I am just putting this all in as one necessity, but I used a mixture of things for this!

My belly actually got very dry at times and I even had a little bit of a rash from time to time on my stomach as well.

I used this pack of belly moisturizers and oil that I found on Amazon and it did wonders for me. Admittedly I wasn’t always super consistent, but I tried to start using them pretty early which I think definitely made a difference!

Closer toward the end of my pregnancy I also tried a few belly masks.

I had seen some on Tik Tok and more than anything they just looked refreshing and relaxing to me. They were cooling AND moisturizing for my belly so I absolutely loved using these in my third trimester!

7. Massage Gun

Or my husbands hands.

You know whatever works.

But honestly I was cramping, sore and swollen all over it felt like. Especially during the long, third trimester summer.

So thank goodness we had a massage gun because I was constantly asking Grant to rub my back, my neck, my feet, my shoulders… pretty much everything was aching at that point!

And our massage gun made a HUGE difference.

**This is similar, but not the exact one we had!

There was obviously a wide variety of other things that helped me get through my pregnancy.

But looking back now… these are a few things that immediately come to mind that I will 100% need the next time I am pregnant!
