KC Winter Wonderland is exactly that - a walk-thru wonderland of lights to get you in the holiday spirit!

This is located at the KC Pumpkin Patch at KC Wine Co. Because of this, you have a choice of delicious wines, ciders, beers or even the fantastic S’mores Hot Cocoa to sip on while you enjoy the lights.

Along with all of the holiday lights and photo-ops along the walk, Santa is there for meet and greets. If you go on a Sunday, the Grinch even joins in on the fun!

The KC Winter Wonderland runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through December 18th.

3. Weekend Trip to Branson, MO

A weekend trip to Branson, MO is a great quick getaway to get you in the holiday spirit!

Just 3 hours away, Silver Dollar City and the entire town of Branson can completely immerse you in the holiday season.

You can enjoy a wintery stay at Big Cedar Lodge, explore Silver Dollar City or even just take a stroll at the Landing and get some holiday shopping done.

No matter where you go in Branson during the holiday season, you’re sure to see Christmas everywhere!

4. Luminary Walk at Overland Park Arboretum

Holiday Lights at Farmstead Lane is a highly entertaining and detailed light display show at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead.

Not only is it FREE, but you can enjoy this light show from the warmth of your car.

6. The Holidays at Prairiefire

Holidays at Prairiefire - Holiday Family Fun in Kansas City

The Holidays at Prairiefire is a great way to spend your Saturday. They have varying events each Saturday throughout Prairiefire for you and your family to enjoy.

When we went, we got to see Santa, get faces painted, create some art of our own and even have Sundaes with Olaf at Andy’s!

This Saturday the 17th will be the last Saturday and includes Santa at Made in KC, a face painter and origami at Museum of Prairiefire, Sundaes with Anna & Elsa at Andy’s and the Olathe South Choir singing Christmas Carols at the outdoor fire pit by Brass Onion.

8. Evergy Festival of Lights at Powell Gardens

The Evergy Festival of Lights at Powell Gardens is a winter wonderland of lighted pathways, photo-ops and breathtaking light displays.

You can head out to the Festival of Lights Wednesdays-Sundays between 4-10pm until December 30. Children 4 and under are free, 5-12 are $7 and adults are $16.

Make sure to head out to Kansas City’s botanical garden and checkout the lights before December 30!

9. Santa’s Gingerbread Station, Mayor’s Christmas Tree & Shopping at Crown Center

Although Santa’s Gingerbread Station doesn’t include the Gingerbread village this year, you can still head out to Crown Center for some shopping and a visit with Santa!

Not only that, but you and your family can also head outside to admire the Mayor’s Christmas Tree - the HUGE Mayor’s Christmas Tree - and even enjoy some skating at Ice Terrace.

10. Santa Delivers & GloWild Illuminated Christmas Village at the Kansas City Zoo

Santa Delivers this weekend at the Kansas City Zoo! What does that mean for you?

This means, any time between 10am-3pm at the zoo Saturday and Sunday you can catch a glimpse of Santa delivering gifts to some of the animals that have made it on the nice list this year.

Along with that, the zoo’s very popular GloWild has added an illuminated Christmas Village through December 30 at the sheep station in Australia! You might even catch Santa making visits for photos and wish lists while you’re there.

11. Snowglobe Express in Baldwin, KS

The Snowglobe Express is on the top of my must-do holiday list!

Although I may not make it this year, there is so much to look forward to with this experience.

The Snowglobe Express is about a 30-35 minute train ride taking you to Santa’s Reindeer Village. Once you arrive, there’s so much to see and experience including hand-delivering a letter to Santa’s elves to give to the big man himself and you can even see Santa’s Reindeer!

When purchasing tickets for the Snowglobe Express, remember that it runs November-December, but has specific times for when the train will depart.

As you can see, there are so many fun holiday options to still experience with your family this holiday season. We may be less than 2 weeks away from Christmas, but there’s still time to make those holiday memories!

What will you be making sure to experience this holiday season??
