5 Must-Try Holiday Cocktails

Happy Holidays everyone!

Christmas Eve and Christmas are almost here which means family and friend gatherings galore.

For our Christmas Eve tradition, my mom’s side of the family always does a little beer tasting together. This year I wanted to get some holiday cocktails in the mix before then, as well.

My husband and I really took one for the team here and gathered a few different holiday cocktail recipe to adjust a little bit and try out for ourselves.

So without further ado, here are the five that we tried and genuinely enjoyed!

1. Christmas Mimosa

Champagne and Raspberry Lemonade my friends. That’s it. And it was absolutely fantastic!

Again, I found the inspiration for these drinks from Pinterest, so I will link that below because each drink we made included a slight difference or addition of ingredients.

But all of ours came out delicious!

2. Mistletoe Margarita

For this one we used:

12 Cups Ice

1/2 Cup Lime Juice

2 Cups Cranberry Juice

12oz Tequila

8oz Triple Sec

Blend it all up and enjoy!

My husband used a lime and salt for his rim, however I don’t prefer salt with my margaritas so I did not.

This one was my husband’s favorite and it was honestly pretty good to me too! Sometimes tequila is not it for me, so I was pleased with how this came out.

3. Mrs. Claus Cranberry Whiskey Cocktail

Now this one was surprisingly good.

Whiskey is very hit or miss for me because of the strength most of the time (especially when I follow by recipe and not by eyeballing how strong I want it personally).

However, even though it smelled very strong, it ended up being the perfect combo!

All we used for this one was :

2oz Cranberry Juice

2oz Whiskey

4. Rudolph’s Concentrated Christmas Mischief Cocktail

This cocktail was honestly probably my favorite. Or at least tied for my favorite with the simple Christmas Mimosa.

This cocktail mix was:

2oz Cranberry Juice

1oz Champagne

1oz Vodka

The Vodka/Champagne mix just reminded me of a spritzer and it was super tasty to say the least!

5. Santa Clausmopolitan

We ended the evening with this cocktail and, while it was still a great cocktail, it might have been my least favorite because it was still a little too strong for me. Even as the last drink of the night!

For the Clausmopolitan we mixed:

1 1/2 Cups Cranberry Juice

1/4 Cups Lime Juice

1/4 Cup Triple Sec

1 Cup Vodka

I had originally saved ten holiday cocktails and we ended up just choosing these five, which was definitely a good idea on my part, and they all turned out amazing.

I’m definitely hoping to make finding and trying new holiday cocktails a tradition in the following years.
