Rec Deck the Halls: Holiday Pop-Up Bar at Boulevard Tours and Rec Center
It’s the holiday season in Kansas City which means pop-up bars everywhere!
Throughout the year, even when it’s not the holiday season, Boulevard Tours and Rec is one of my favorite places to visit, have a drink and spend time with friends and family. So, of course, when I heard about their holiday pop-up bar “Rec Deck the Halls” I had to get there and check it out ASAP!
We made a reservation for a small group on their first night open to the public and we had an absolute blast.
If you haven’t been to the Rec Deck yet, it is a 21+ bar area with shuffleboard courts, a foosball table and some table top shuffleboard as well. This is where they are hosting the holiday pop-up bar which is where “Rec Deck the Halls” comes from!
When the elevator doors open up on that fourth floor, you’re immediately welcomed by the Rec Deck neon sign with a clever holiday greeting.
As soon as you turn into the Rec Deck, it’s just Christmas decor everywhere! You know, what we all just LOVE to see!
There are poles wrapped like candy canes, lights everywhere, a cute on-screen fireplace, Christmas trees decorated with Boulevard’s well-known brews and seltzers and so much more.
Along with all this Christmas decor goodness, they have also created some super fun and delicious holiday cocktails to try as well.
Some of the holiday cocktails include The Grinch, Fling in the New Year, Santa’s Night Cap (which is served with a warm chocolate cookie, who doesn’t love that), Freeze Navidad and so many more!
I highly recommend checking out Rec Deck the Halls this holiday season!
Rec Deck the Halls is open Fridays-Sundays from now through January 2nd. (They are closed December 24 & 25 and January 1 for the holidays).
Groups of 10 or more must make a reservation, but individual seating is first-come, first-serve with a $5 cover charge. A portion of those proceeds will be going to Kansas City G.I.F.T.
